They pay excellent attention to the array of needs that our aging dog has, and have created such an atmosphere that her obvious enjoyment in staying there lets us travel in confidence. She will start barking as soon as we get off the freeway and once she hits the front door pays no attention to us. Her tail is wagging so hard as she greets each one of the staff. We moved into the area two years ago with a geriatric Shi Tzu. Due to our travel commitments, we often have to board him. We have been extremely pleased with Animal House. Mary, Jane and the staff are so accommodating and understanding of his special needs (vision, hearing, diet). They all take terrific care of him, and we are very comfortable entrusting Beethoven to them whenever we are away. We know that he is always in good hands!

Nicely maintained facility. The owners are caring and compassionate. I always feel at ease leaving my pet in their care. I like the friendly atmosphere & the fact they are always obliging to board Chevy even when given short notice. I think it is especially important that my dog likes being a guest at Animal House, too. The grooming service is an added bonus. Thanks Mary & Jane!

We moved to the Wausau area when our Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Porter, was four years old. We were concerned about how he would adjust to a new boarding center as an adult intact male. From the very first time I set foot in Animal House, I knew that Porter would be well cared for. I like that I have the ability to pay for additional play time for my active hunting dog, and that they take the time to place him where they know he will be comfortable in the center. He is no longer cautious when I take him for boarding or grooming, and doesn't have any anxiety about being left with Mary and Jane, because he knows they care about him just as we do. Thank you, Animal House, for being Porter's home away from home.

We have been taking Cinder to Animal House since she was a puppy; she is now 10 years old. Cinder is always excited when we pull into the parking lot at Animal House. Excited to see the staff and happy to know she is not going for another long car ride. Unlike most dogs, she does not like traveling in a vehicle. We recently went on vacation to the Northwoods and left Cinder at home to be cared for by a family memer. Toward the end of our vacation we received a call from Animal House that Cinder was visiting them. Knowing that her human parents were out of town, Cinder took it upon herself to travel a 1/2 mile on paw to Animal House and "check-in". We are guessing she wanted a vacation as well. Thank you to everyone at Animal House for taking great care of Cinder then and always.

Clancy (our dog) and I have been coming to Animal House for the last three and a half years for boarding, training and grooming. There are dog groomers on the premise and Nadine and Judy do a great job bathing and cutting Clancy's coat. Mary Van Ert does the trainng and Clancy just loves her. She is a born teacher and has a wonderful way with animals. Mary gives a lot of attention to every dog in her clasees. Both Jane and Mary are dog and cat lovers and they treat each animal in their charge as if they were their own. Mary and Jane greet each pet and their owners with cheerful smiles and enthusiasm to let the dog or cat know they are home and will be given the best of care. They try to meet all of the animals needs including food for special diets or medications, both provided by their masters. You will be very glad you entrust your pet's care to the Van Erts at Animal House. And no doubt you will return again and again like Mary Jo and I do. Animal House is the best home away from home for your pet!
