Essential to the well being of your pet is a regular grooming routine. Our trained staff can coach you in terms of daily home care, plus they are available for the periodic clipping and "styling" your pet's coat will need.

Every dog and cat, regardless of age, size, breed or coat type, needs to be groomed on a regular basis. Grooming is more than just a ‘beauty session’ for your pet. Grooming is an essential part of your dog's health and physical well being. Dogs which are groomed on a regular basis tend to have a better and shinier coat because the act of combing and brushing the dog’s hair stimulates the blood supply to the skin, thus making it healthier.

Regular grooming can prevent problems such as excessive shedding, painful mats, skin and paw disorders, and bad breath, as well as help you identify other problems that might go unnoticed without the extra attention.

The care of the coat varies and depends on the breed. Short-haired dogs require brushing while Terriers coats are plucked to remove dead hair. They may need some combing and brushing in between the plucking. Longhaired dogs are combed and then brushed. Mats are common and sometimes can be removed by teasing or picking apart with one or two teeth of a comb. A lot of times they must be cut out but this must be done carefully so the skin is not cut.
